A fantastic School in Hertfordshire / Bushey is on the hunt for an Unqualified Science Teacher for a September 2026 start. This is a full-time, and permanent position being paid via the school.

• Providing high quality lessons across the Science Department - KS3-4 basis

• September 2026 - Full Time - Term Time Only

• Chemistry (Science)
• Physics (Science)
• Natural Sciences (Science)
• Mathematics & Physics (Science)
• Environmental Science (Science)
• Geography & Environmental Science (Science)
• Health Science (Science)
• Healthcare & Fitness (Science)
• Any STEM related degree (Science)

• Paid position on the Unqualified Teacher (UQT) scale (most commonly UQ1)
• Employed directly by a school from day one
• Higher initial teaching load, typically around 15 periods per week
• Teaching load gradually increases to approximately 20 periods per week
• One dedicated training day per week
• Opportunity to gain QTS with PGCE (optional opt-out available if required)
• Working at one School throughout - avoiding any conflict in different teaching styles (in turn reducing stress on teacher)

• Carrying out GCSE & A Level interventions
• Enrolling onto the Aspiring History Teacher Program (Schools Direct)

• Must have a desirable degree from the above subjects from a reputable University
• Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
• Must be confident within your ability and knowledge of both the GCSE & A Level curriculum
• You must be able to engage and motivate the students
