Business Studies and Economics Teacher – Full-time, temporary to permanent from September 2026

This full‑time, temporary‑to‑permanent role is ideal for an experienced Business Studies or Economics teacher ready to teach from September 2026.

Duties of Business Studies and Economics Teacher
  • Teach Business Studies and Economics across relevant key stages
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Business and Economics
  • Analyse pupil performance data to inform interventions and improvement strategies
  • Ensure curriculum coverage aligns with examination specifications and school priorities
  • Promote high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement
  • Contribute to whole‑school initiatives and leadership responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records and departmental documentation
  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Business Studies and Economics Teacher
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Business Studies and or Economics at secondary level
  • Proven track record of strong classroom practice and pupil outcomes
  • Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
  • Confident communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate pupils
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Willingness to commit to a temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent
