We are working with a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Watford seeking an enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with curious and motivated learners as they prepare for the transition into Upper Key Stage 2 and beyond.
Year 5 is a pivotal stage in a child's education, where pupils are encouraged to become more independent, resilient and confident learners. We are looking for a teacher who can create engaging lessons, maintain high expectations and inspire children to achieve their full potential.
The role:- Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum
- Assessing, monitoring and supporting pupil progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Preparing pupils for the academic challenges of Year 6
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff
- Supporting pupils' personal, social and emotional development
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2
- Has strong curriculum knowledge and high expectations for achievement
- Can motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills
- Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
- Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Friendly and supportive leadership team
- Enthusiastic pupils who enjoy learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
