Informal Jewish Educator

The Informal Jewish Educator will play a key role in strengthening Jewish life across the College by delivering engaging, meaningful and authentic Jewish learning experiences. The postholder will work with students across the school through informal education, Sixth Form teaching, Tefillah programming, lunchtime and break‑time activities, Shabbatonim, trips and other enrichment opportunities.

The successful candidate will be a positive Jewish role model who demonstrates a strong commitment to Jewish values, practice and education, and who can build warm, appropriate and inspiring relationships with students.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
