SEN Teacher Watford

Location: Watford area

Salary: £28,000 £ 52,000

About the Role

Supply Desk is looking for an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teacher to join an inclusive, highly supportive educational setting in the Watford area. This is a rewarding role where you will play a crucial part in shaping the educational, social, and emotional growth of pupils with Special Educational Needs.

In this position, you will design and deliver creative, tailored learning experiences that inspire students with diverse needs to reach their personal and academic milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute differentiated lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLCN, and general learning difficulties.
  • Foster a secure, positive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Track student development and maintain thorough records linked to individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
  • Work seamlessly alongside Support Staff, Multidisciplinary Therapists, Families, and External Agencies.
  • Encourage positive behaviour strategies and foster emotional resilience among students.
  • Continuously adapt teaching methods to maintain high levels of engagement and achievement.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification).
  • Demonstrated experience teaching children or young adults with Special Educational Needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHCP processes and adaptive teaching methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management abilities.
  • An empathetic, patient, and resilient dynamic.
  • An unwavering dedication to child protection and safeguarding standards.
