Teacher of English (Full Time or Part Time)

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

An ambitious and welcoming secondary school in Watford is seeking to appoint a passionate and inspirational Teacher of English to join its successful English department from September 2026. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Full-time and part-time applications will be considered.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Inspire a love of literature and language, helping students achieve their full potential.
Plan and deliver lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities.
Assess, monitor and provide effective feedback to support student progress.
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and the English department.

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is due to achieve it.
Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English.
Has high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
