Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced ESOL tutor to join our high‑performing Language, Literacy and Numeracy team. The role involves teaching within our ESOL provision, with potential to cover all levels, and delivering Functional Skills English courses from Entry 1 to Level 2. The position is suitable for teachers with experience working with young and adult learners and a passion for innovative teaching.
Responsibilities- Teach ESOL courses, including college and community‑based programmes, during daytime and evenings.
- Potential to teach across all levels, from pre‑entry to Level 2 qualifications.
- Deliver Functional Skills English courses from Entry 1 to Level 2.
- Design and deliver engaging learning opportunities tailored to the needs of young and adult learners.
- Collaborate with the dynamic teaching team to support professional development and share innovative ideas.
- Minimum of a CELTA or equivalent qualification.
- Experience teaching adult learners is desirable.
- Formal teaching qualification or willingness to obtain teacher training qualifications is preferred.
- Experience in FE or community teaching is an advantage.
The successful candidate will work 18.5 hours per week at our Watford and Hemel campuses.
