About the Role:

Supply Desk are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated

Nursery Teacherto join a welcoming and supportive nursery in the Watford area. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic early years professional who is committed to creating engaging learning experiences and supporting young children through the important early stages of their development.

You will play a key role in providing high-quality early years education and care, helping children develop socially, emotionally and academically within a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. You will encourage curiosity, independence and a love of learning through a range of creative and age-appropriate activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative and age-appropriate learning activities for children
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating nursery environment
  • Support children’s social, emotional, physical and educational development
  • Observe, assess and record children’s progress effectively
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence
  • Support children’s individual needs and ensure they are given the appropriate care and attention
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting (Desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, caring and proactive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
