A high-achieving secondary school in Watford is seeking a motivated Graduate Academic Mentor to join the school from September 2026 to July 2027. As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you will work alongside teachers to provide targeted academic support, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and close gaps in attainment.

The Academic Mentor role will involve general classroom support, one-to-one guidance and small-group interventions across different subjects. The Role Support pupils in lessons across different subjects Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions Provide targeted academic support and help close learning gaps Encourage confidence, engagement and independence Support literacy interventions, including reading, writing and comprehension Potentially provide small-group teaching and targeted support within English Graduate Academic Mentor | Person Specification A 2:1 or First-Class degree; an English degree would be particularly desirable Alternatively, strong English Literature A-Level results, ideally an A or A
