A main civil contractor operating in civil engineering and infrastructure sector is currently looking for a civil works Quality Engineer. Our client has been in the industry for over 100 years with a turnover over 50 million in the last year.

The candidate will be working on a major, very prestigous project based in Hertfordshire. Will be responsible for supervision and implementation of all testing whilst coordinating with other teams to perform quality audits on various processes. Desirable background in works of civil engineering.

To be successful in getting selected for this role you must have/be:

• Previous experience of supervision of multi discipline Project support teams
• Experience of working on major Civil/Building works projects with oil and gas involvement
• Communicate Quality Assurance requirements across the site/s
• Management of inspection and production records
• Frequent review of various production checklists
• QA planning activity
• Review/amend/write Quality Assurance documentation following company procedures and using supporting forms
• Ensure QA Documentation is in place prior to excavation or using any product on site
• Monitor and measure Management System effectiveness
• Attend site meetings
• Attend SHEQ meetings
• Facilitate improvement actions, ensuring they are implemented and closed within agreed timescales
