Overview

Senior SHEQ Advisor - Power & Infrastructure.

Location:

London & Southern UK. Package:
Circa £65,000 pa + Company Car / Allowance. Sponsorship is not available for this opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Expert Guidance:
    Provide specialist SHEQ advice, ensuring full compliance with statutory obligations and company policies.
  • Site Safety:
    Support project teams to maintain the highest health & safety standards across all operational sites.
  • Investigation & Analysis:
    Lead accident/incident investigations, including RIDDOR reporting and robust root cause analysis.
  • Proactive Culture:
    Champion a culture of proactive reporting, specifically focusing on near misses and close calls.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure contractors, staff, and visitors strictly adhere to site safety requirements.
  • Training:
    Deliver engaging safety presentations, training sessions, and toolbox talks to the wider workforce.

About You
  • Sector

    Experience:

    Proven track record as a SHEQ professional within Power and Civil Engineering.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Previous experience with projects involving DNOs, IDNOs, Substations, and Cabling.
  • Qualifications:

    NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent safety qualification) is essential.
  • Certifications:

    Must hold a valid EUSR or CSCS card.
  • Communication:
    Strong communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Skills:

    Highly skilled in technical report writing and the implementation of management systems.
  • Requirement:
    Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
  • Desirable:
    Experience with NERS accreditation.
