An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy in Watford. This role offers the chance to take ownership of a variety of ground investigation and geoenvironmental projects from initial tender through to completion, whilst managing client relationships and supporting junior team members.
The RoleAs a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a range of site investigation and contaminated land projects across residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
Key responsibilities include:- Managing ground investigation and geoenvironmental projects from inception to completion.
- Designing and supervising intrusive site investigations.
- Managing subcontractors, drilling crews and site works.
- Interpreting geotechnical and contamination data.
- Preparing and reviewing Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Ground Investigation Reports and remediation strategies.
- Liaising directly with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.
- Managing project budgets, programmes and commercial performance.
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and graduates.
- Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with in a geoenvironmental or ground investigation consultancy.
- Strong project management experience.
- Proven experience supervising site investigations and producing technical reports.
- Good understanding of contaminated land legislation and guidance.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
