Head of Commercial Finance -FMCG

Eutopia Search is exclusively partnering with an FMCG Manufacturing business on the outskirts of Watford, to appoint a Head of Commercial Finance
. This is a hybrid role, with two days a week in the office.

In the position of Head of Commercial Finance
, you’ll play a key role in driving financial performance, planning, and decision‑making across various stakeholders. Reporting into the Commercial Finance Director, you’ll deliver insight, ensure strong financial governance, and support value creation.

This is a highly visible, business‑facing role that suits someone who thrives in a fast‑moving, collaborative environment, with the confidence to analyse, challenge, and influence decisions.

• Act as a Senior finance business partner to senior commercial stakeholders, supporting performance improvement and informed decision‑making.
• Lead reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis, turning complex data into clear insights.
• Provide constructive challenge and drive accountability for financial outcomes.
• Identify risks and opportunities early and work with cross‑functional teams to address them.
• Champion ROI and improve the effectiveness of commercial investment and pricing decisions
• Champion continuous improvement across FP&A processes, systems, and reporting.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team — building capability and driving continuous improvement

• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with proven commercial business partnering experience
• Ideally, experience within FMCG manufacturing — such as food, beverages, snacks, confectionery, or personal care products
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insight.
• Commercially aware and strategically minded, with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Competitive base salary (£85,000–£100,000), with up to 20% annual bonus and car allowance
