Position: Finance Analyst ( 6 Months FTC)

A bit about the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Analyst and Business Partner to work across multiple work streams and support senior leaders across the wider business, making data-driven decision making to maximise returns to Good Causes.

What you’ll be doing
  • To build strong relationships across main stakeholder groups, in particular within Finance and Regulatory teams as well as business partner with the wider Finance function budget holders, providing insightful analysis and presentations to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Support key financial processes including month-end close, monthly and quarterly reporting, the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts.
  • Subject matter expert and business partner for the finance function, maintaining a rolling forecast and detailed understanding of cost drivers, risks and opportunities.
  • Delivery of key outputs including quarterly Performance Standards Reporting for the Gambling Commission, monthly management reporting for key metrics such as Good Causes and monthly budget holder and director packs.
  • Support Budgeting and Forecasting processes with detailed analysis and presentations to facilitate business decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with the entire Commercial Finance and wider Finance function leaning into relevant teams to most effectively drive projects forward.
  • Assist with ad-hoc queries.
What experience we’re looking for
  • Delivery of high-quality outputs to deadline, with analysis that supports confident decision-making and adds clear value to strategic and regulatory priorities.

Key

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Highly numerate with the ability to analyse, model and interpret data, including large data sets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to articulate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to apply this to decision making and recommendations.
  • Experience with SAP and SAC preferred.
  • Experience in a similar Commercial Finance role preferred.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Lookups, Pivots, Data Visualisation) and data manipulation.
  • Experience with BI tools an advantage.
  • Self-starter with a keen attention to detail and independent thinking, ability to work collaboratively, working constructively with colleagues to solve problems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to distil complexity, present clear recommendations and maintain high standards in fast‑paced environments.
  • Credibility and presence to work effectively with senior leaders, challenge constructively where appropriate, and influence outcomes through insight‑led analysis.
  • Proactive and driven, with the confidence to highlight risks and opportunities early, work independently at pace, and tailor messaging upwards to senior line management where needed.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity, using judgement to structure problems, define a practical path forward and keep stakeholders aligned as priorities evolve.
