Job Title: Paediatric Complex Carer

Location: Watford

Hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Paediatric Complex Carer to provide one-to-one care for a child with complex health needs. The ideal candidate will be confident in advanced clinical care tasks, including deep suctioning and ventilation management
, while delivering safe, person-centred care that supports the child’s wellbeing, comfort, and development.

• Provide high-quality care for a child with complex medical needs in the home environment.
• Safely perform deep suctioning and ventilation monitoring in line with care plans.
• Administer medication and maintain accurate care records.
• Support the child’s daily routine, including personal care, feeding, mobility, and activities.
• Accompany the child to appointments, school, or therapy sessions where required.
• Respond calmly and effectively to any medical emergencies.
• Work collaboratively with family members, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure the child’s dignity, safety, and comfort at all times.

• Proven experience in paediatric complex care.
• Competency in deep suctioning and ventilation care (essential).
• Knowledge of PEG feeding, seizure management, and medication administration (desirable).
• Compassionate, reliable, and adaptable with a child-centred approach.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
