An established housing provider is seeking to appoint a Compliance Manager (Asbestos & Legionella) to lead the operational delivery of its critical health and safety compliance programmes.
This key management role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Asbestos and Water Hygiene compliance across a diverse residential portfolio. You will manage specialist contracts from procurement and mobilisation through to performance monitoring, audit and renewal, ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality, value-for-money services to residents.
Acting as the subject matter expert, you will ensure adherence to the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, ACOP L8, HSG
274 and associated legislation. You will oversee asbestos surveys, re-inspections, legionella risk assessments, sampling programmes and remedial works, ensuring programmes are delivered safely and effectively.
You will drive contractor performance through KPIs, quality inspections and robust commercial management, while maintaining accurate certification, compliance data and audit-ready reporting. Responsibilities also include budget management, expenditure forecasting and supporting regulatory inspections.
The successful candidate will be an experienced compliance professional with a strong track record of managing statutory health and safety programmes and contractors within a regulated housing environment, committed to maintaining high standards of safety, governance and resident wellbeing.
