Salary: Up to £45,000
Travel: Own car required (client site travel across London)
The Role
We are working with a growing hospitality group who are looking to appoint an experienced Regional Group IT Engineer to support their hotels and Head Office across the South of England, with a strong focus on London based sites.
This role will initially start as a 3-month contract, with a planned extension to 6 months and a clear intention to move the position permanent thereafter. It is well suited to someone who enjoys hands-on IT support, stakeholder interaction and site based work.
You will be responsible for ensuring the IT estate across multiple locations is secure, efficient and fit for purpose, while providing high quality second-line support and working closely with senior stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deployment, maintenance and optimisation of PC hardware and software across multiple sites
- Second-line support for hardware, software and user issues
- Support of property management systems, WiFi, telecoms, TV and AV systems
- Hands-on IT support to senior stakeholders and Board members
- Management of communications cabinets and office moves
- Supplier management and procurement of IT equipment and services
- Participation in IT projects including upgrades, new implementations and site expansions
- Training and guidance to site based teams to promote self-sufficiency
- Maintaining accurate IT documentation, asset registers and system records
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT support or end-user support roles
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Azure and Exchange
- Good understanding of desktop support, LAN/WAN and networking protocols
- Experience supporting remote users and multi-site environments
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
- Ability to manage workload independently and travel between sites
- Own vehicle essential due to regular travel across London and surrounding areas
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with in hospitality or hotel environments
- Exposure to systems such as Opera PMS, Micros, HotSOS, Mitel PBX/Dect or digital signage
- Practical experience with Ethernet or fibre patching
