Lead Business Analyst, Group Functions; SAP FICO

Overview

Smith+N e phew is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to influence the strategic direction of Finance and Global Business Services (GBS). The mandate involves partnering with senior leadership, driving high‑profile initiatives, and ensuring successful implementation of mandates that modernise our global Finance and GBS landscape.

• Act as a trusted advisor to Finance and GBS teams, translating strategy into technology‑enabled change.
• Partner with leaders to understand challenges and opportunities, shape ideas into tangible business cases, and guide them through governance to secure investment.
• Stay close to delivery, ensuring technology solutions are designed to meet business needs and deliver intended value.
• Develop strategic roadmaps and perform deep business analysis to define clear, testable requirements.
• Manage the ERP enhancement pipeline, prioritising initiatives based on business value and future scalability.
• Simplify processes, champion best practice, and support the realisation of measurable benefits.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, working on complex change programmes in Finance or IT.
• Strong understanding of finance processes and platforms, including ERP, EPM, workflow, and analytics.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SAP ECC/S/4
  
  HANA and functional expertise within the FICO domain.
• Excellent analytical skills, able to simplify complexity and produce clear, testable requirements.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, able to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams.
