We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our UK IT team and play a key role in supporting, maintaining and transforming our infrastructure as we continue our journey toward a cloud‑first environment.
If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working across a diverse technology estate, and taking ownership of critical systems, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.
What you'll be doing- Provide 3rd line infrastructure support while helping to deliver ongoing improvements across our on‑premise and cloud environments.
- Support and administer our UK infrastructure across servers, cloud platforms and networking.
- Investigate and resolve complex 3rd line technical issues.
- Design and implement proactive monitoring and alerting to prevent future incidents.
- Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy and core infrastructure services.
- Support our AWS and Azure cloud platforms as we continue to migrate services to the cloud.
- Work closely with internal IT teams and external technology partners to deliver infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure all infrastructure changes meet security, compliance and governance standards.
- Maintain clear technical documentation and automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in an on‑call rota and provide out‑of‑hours support during key retail trading periods.
You'll gain exposure to a broad and evolving technology landscape including:
- Windows Server
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- Office 365
- AWS (ECS, Amazon MQ, RDS, S3, Work spaces, VPCs)
- Microsoft Azure
- Power Shell
- Meraki networking
- SQL Server
- Solar Winds (or similar monitoring platforms)
- Remote Access technologies
With around 150 Windows servers, multiple AWS environments and Azure services, there's plenty of opportunity to broaden your technical expertise.
What we're looking for- Strong experience administering Windows Server environments.
- Good knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows infrastructure.
- Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving skills.
- Experience monitoring and supporting enterprise infrastructure.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
