Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Senior Infrastructure Engineer | Hertfordshire | Hybrid | Azure | SQL | Automation

I'm recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a large organisation within the education sector that's investing heavily in its technology estate and digital transformation.

This role would suit someone from an Infrastructure, Application Support, Database Administration, Platform Engineering or Data Engineering background who's looking to broaden their responsibilities and play a key role in modernising enterprise technology.

You’ll work across infrastructure, databases, enterprise applications and Azure Dev Ops, helping to improve performance, automate processes and deliver key technology projects that support thousands of users.

• Support and enhance enterprise applications and infrastructure platforms
• Deliver Azure Dev Ops and automation initiatives
• Administer and optimise SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
• Lead application upgrades, integrations, patching and performance improvements
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and 3rd line support across the IT function

• Azure or Azure Dev Ops
• SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Application or Infrastructure Support
• Database Administration (DBA)
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other enterprise applications
• Power Shell, automation or CI/CD
• Platform Engineering or Systems Administration
