Mot Tester​/Vehicle Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Tester to join a well-established independent garage in Letchworth Garden City. The successful individual will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, with the opportunity to contribute to a dedicated team.

• Competitive basic salary of up to £36,000 per annum, with an OTE of £40,000 including bonuses
• No weekend work, Monday to Friday hours from 8:30am to 6:00pm
• Monthly performance bonus, with realistic earning potential

• Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with DVSA regulations
• Ensure all tests are performed accurately, efficiently, and to high standards
• Support the workshop team with light technician work and diagnostics (desirable but not essential)
• Maintain safe testing procedures and a clean, organised workspace
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to provide excellent service

• Fully qualified DVSA Class 4 MOT Tester with an active licence
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Honest, reliable, and meticulous approach to work
• Strong communication skills, confident in engaging with customers and the team
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment is desirable
• Willingness to help with technician tasks if needed
• Own hand tools are beneficial, but not essential
• Experience in a fast-fit or service environment is advantageous
