Housekeeping Assistant - Bank

Shift Details: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Elton House Care Home in Watford. Pay: £12.75 per hour.

The Housekeeping Assistant – Bank (temporary) supports residents and staff by maintaining cleanliness, laundry, and a safe environment. Work is performed as part of a team following standard operating procedures and hotel‑style service standards.

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions, covering general areas, bathrooms, and rooms.
• Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings, and apply the appropriate cleaning materials to keep all areas well presented and in good condition.
• Maintain laundry standards, including sorting, washing, drying, and delivery to residents, in a public‑setting environment.
• Treat all residents with dignity and respect, ensuring their personal space and belongings are respected at all times.
• Support the team by being flexible and adaptive, covering a range of responsibilities on short notice.

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, especially COSHH, fire safety, and moving and handling techniques.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrated compassion, commitment to high‑quality housekeeping, and a service‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to adapt and remain flexible to cover various duties.
• Full UK work eligibility.
