The Quality Assurance Manager’s role is pivotal in supporting both the Buying teams and Buying offices in maximising product quality and production opportunities within their markets. They will lead and co‑ordinate the Product Specialist team in executing programs aimed at achieving the highest score in fashion and quality for our value equation (BFPQ) for all production. They will be accountable for shaping and leading the European Quality Support and Product Development strategy.

Partnering closely with Buying Leadership teams across Europe, this role informs and supports buying strategies, enabling business growth through expert guidance in quality, product development, and production. This is a strategic and future‑focused role, accountable for ensuring the organisation is prepared to support new markets, categories and vendor bases, and for embedding a unified, European Buying Support model.

Key Responsibilities Quality Support & Product Development
  • Set and lead the resourcing strategy for Quality Support & Product Development across European buying offices to ensure a dynamic, flexible, and scalable support model.
  • Coach and develop a high performing team to identify, resolve, and prevent quality issues, ensuring commercial, fit for purpose, and Off Price‑appropriate solutions.
  • Manage and oversee the development of the Quality Assurance Co‑ordinator role, ensuring that it is fully optimised and encompasses all key responsibilities required to deliver high operational standards.
  • Define and lead the approach to measuring and reporting on the value and impact of the department, including year‑on‑year performance and opportunities for optimising support in line with business priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Global Product Development and Product Specialist teams, to ensure alignment on European quality standards.
  • Lead the delivery of European labelling and packaging strategy in partnership with US packaging teams and Buying offices, ensuring timely execution that meets European business needs and supports Global Sustainable Packaging goals.
  • Build strong relationships with Royalty partners, managing contractual updates and ensuring clear, timely communication across all relevant Buying teams.
Sustainability
  • Lead collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver Sustainability objectives across production, packaging, and labelling.
  • Maintain and strengthen the relationship with the Corporate Responsibility and US Sustainability team to ensure the European approach aligns with global strategy and standards.
Training and upskilling
  • Lead the development of training programmes, in partnership with Buying Directors and the University, to support the onboarding and growth of new Buyers.
  • Oversee the delivery of relevant, up to date training content that strengthens Buying capability in production, quality, and product development.
KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience as Garment Technologist or Product Developer within a large European and fast‑paced business.
  • Highly skilled in evaluating product for fit, quality and performance and in depth knowledge of garment construction and pattern cutting techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of garment production and finishing systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of fabric testing standards and care labelling.
  • Technical knowledge of fabric, yarn and colour specifications.
