CNC Turner - Setter / Programmer

WF Tech is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company supplying high-quality machined components into the aerospace sector. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner
- Setter / Programmer to join a modern machining facility producing precision components in small to medium batch quantities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable business that invests in its people, machinery and long-term growth.

Working on Doosan CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, you will be responsible for setting, programming and operating machines to manufacture complex precision components to exacting quality standards. You will be machining a variety of materials including:

• Stainless Steel
• Aluminium
• Brass
• Titanium
• Acetal
• Glass Filled Nylon

This role will involve both prototype and repeat batch work, requiring a high level of attention to detail and the ability to consistently achieve tight tolerances.

• Setting, programming and operating Doosan CNC lathes.
• Producing precision machined components from engineering drawings.
• Carrying out first-off inspection and in-process quality checks.
• Manufacturing prototype and small to medium batch components.
• Editing and optimising programs where required.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.
• Working closely with the production team to ensure efficient manufacturing.

• Previous experience setting and programming CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
• Experience working on Doosan machines would be advantageous.
• Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Comfortable machining a range of materials, including exotic alloys.
• Strong understanding of precision engineering and working to tight tolerances.
• Engineering apprenticeship preferred but not essential for candidates with proven industry experience.
• Positive attitude with excellent attention to detail and quality.
