Machine Minder - Engineering & Maintenance

We are looking for an experienced Machine Minder / Machine Maintenance Operative to join our production team.
This role would suit someone with good practical engineering and mechanical knowledge who is confident working with production machinery. Formal engineering qualifications are not essential; we are looking for someone with hands-on experience and a sound understanding of how machinery works.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure it runs safely and efficiently.

· Carry out basic mechanical maintenance, adjustments and fault finding.

· Identify and resolve mechanical issues to minimise production downtime.

· Strip down machinery to support the hygiene and cleaning process.

· Work closely with the Hygiene Team during equipment strip-down and cleaning.

· Rebuild and reassemble machinery correctly and safely, ready for production.

· Carry out routine checks and basic preventative maintenance.

· Support the Engineering and Production teams when required.

· Ensure machinery is running correctly and is production-ready.

· Follow all health, safety, hygiene and company procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:

· Previous experience working with production machinery or industrial equipment.

· Good practical mechanical and engineering knowledge.

· Experience of maintaining, adjusting, stripping down and rebuilding machinery.

· Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

· A hands-on approach and the confidence to work with machinery.

· The ability to understand how machinery operates and identify potential issues.

· A good understanding of health, safety and hygiene requirements.

· A reliable, proactive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
Engineering qualifications are desirable but not essential. Practical experience, sound mechanical knowledge and the ability to work confidently with machinery are more important
