Park Veterinary Centre – Registered Veterinary Nurse (Part‑time)
Park Veterinary Centre has been a trusted part of the Hertfordshire community for over 100 years. The Leavesden branch is a consulting‑only clinic, while the larger Watford site offers full surgical and medical facilities, including laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, digital and dental X‑ray and advanced monitoring equipment. We are an RCVS GP Training Practice that places a strong emphasis on teamwork, client care and professional development.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Park Veterinary Centre on a part‑time basis.
How You’ll Make a DifferenceAs a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first‑opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
This role offers approximately 22 to 25 hours per week. We will require at least one long day from 8.30 am to 7 pm, one or two Saturday mornings from 8.30 am to 1 pm every four weeks, plus additional weekday mornings. There is also the option to pick up extra hours to help cover annual leave.
General responsibilities include playing a key role in supporting our consulting‑only service at Leavesden, assisting the vet with appointments, running nurse clinics, offering advice to clients and ensuring every owner and pet receives excellent care. You will also help coordinate any cases that need transferring to our fully equipped Watford hospital.
Qualifications- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
- A passion for nurse clinics and client care
