The start date for this role is 1st September 2026. The Practice Nurse will deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients as part of the wider clinical team. The role covers a broad range of general practice nursing duties in line with national guidance and local protocols.   • Little Bushey Surgery is a General Practice located in Bushey Health, Hertfordshire, providing comprehensive healthcare services to the local community.
  • We are a GP surgery located right in the heart of Bushey subserving over 6000 patients. We have a warm and welcoming environment here and run the practice with a open and honest policy. Everyone is treated with respect and we see each other as family.
  • We are an EMIS practice. Our practice team comprises of GPs, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, HCA, Phlebotomists, Clinical Pharmacist, First Contact Physiotherapists, Receptionists and Admin Staff.
Job responsibilities

The Practice Nurse role involves delivering essential nursing services within our GP practice, with a primary focus on wound care, skin dressings, cervical screening, chronic disease management and immunisations. The role involves assessing and treating wounds, performing cervical smear tests in line with national screening guidelines, administering routine vaccinations, and providing patients with relevant health education and advice. Working closely with GPs and the wider healthcare team, the Practice Nurse ensures high standards of patient care, infection control, and accurate clinical record‑keeping.
