This 24 hour hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its experienced night team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN with an interest in emergency and critical care who is looking to work in a modern hospital environment while benefiting from an excellent work-life balance.
As a 24-hour veterinary hospital, they provide emergency, critical care and inpatient services, supported by an experienced and collaborative clinical team. The successful candidate will work alongside another RVN and a Veterinary Surgeon throughout every shift, ensuring that patients receive a consistently high standard of care overnight.
The role offers a varied and rewarding caseload, with the opportunity to support emergency consultations, critically ill patients and inpatients requiring ongoing monitoring and treatment. The successful nurse will play an important part in the smooth overnight running of the hospital while developing their knowledge and experience in emergency and critical care nursing.
The hospital is equipped with a wide range of advanced facilities, including CT, digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy equipment and a ventilator, providing the team with excellent resources to manage a diverse range of cases.
This position offers a highly attractive rota of 7 nights on followed by 14 nights off, creating an excellent balance between work and personal time. The role offers a £42,000 FTE salary, equating to £26,800 per year on a pro-rata basis.
There are also opportunities for colleagues to increase their earnings by picking up additional shifts, with existing team members given priority access to available shifts before they are advertised to locums.
