About

the Telephone Business Development Manager Role

This is an office-based, phone-led Business Development role designed for someone with a mortgage advisory background who wants to move away from client advice and into a commercially focused position. Working closely with field-based BDMs, you’ll use your understanding of residential and Buy to Let mortgages to engage brokers, generate enquiries and drive lending volumes.

You’ll be the first point of contact for brokers, building trust quickly, spotting opportunities and converting conversations into live applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage broker relationships via telephone and email
  • Use your residential and Buy to Let mortgage knowledge to identify and generate opportunities
  • Support field-based Business Development Managers to achieve regional targets
  • Proactively originate and convert new enquiries into applications
  • Qualify leads, issue terms and manage the pipeline through to completion
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and deliver a high level of broker service
  • Feed market insight back into the wider Business Development strategy
