This is a full‑time salary. No agencies or part‑timers, sorry.
Compensation- Work at a customer’s premises, paid 40 hours per week. Any hours exceeding 45 hours per week are paid as overtime.

This Fire and Security Technician role offers you the chance to become a multi‑skilled fire and security expert. You will primarily focus on the installation and commissioning of fire alarms, while receiving dedicated training and support to expand your expertise into the installation of CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems.

WhatYou'll Do
- Own and manage installation projects from initial setup through to the final commissioning.
- Use strong foundational knowledge of fire alarms and familiarity with security systems to provide quality work.
- Actively seek support from the team when needed and proactively contribute your expertise back to your colleagues.
- Keep customers and your manager fully informed of job progress using our designated software, simPRO.
- Utilise our door‑to‑door pay structure by accurately logging your start and end times daily.
- Documented success in fire alarm installation projects.
- General knowledge of security systems.
- Self‑motivated initiative‑taker who anticipates system needs rather than merely reacting to faults.
- Proven history of high performance, demonstrated by excellent organisational skills, decisive action, and excellent communication.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to acquire new technical skills.
- Committed to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle, recognising its importance for sustained energy and focus in a technical role.
- Ideally hold a Gold ECS card (FESS) or Level 3 EAL Fire qualifications (preference not essential; willingness to learn is essential).
- Extensive working knowledge of various security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms).
- Residing in or around West Hertfordshire.
