Mobile Vehicle Technician

Overview

Join the RAC as a Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division and bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers – from driveways to office car parks. You’ll deliver first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage, working independently with your own RAC van, fuel card and essential tools.

• Interact with customers on driveways, giving advice and representing the RAC with pride.
• Provide day‑to‑day servicing, diagnostics, repairs and checks, ensuring a variety of tasks each day.
• Manage stock and complete reporting while maintaining clear communication with customers.
• Think on your feet and make the right call for each customer, adapting to new challenges every day.

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years’ hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Full Time - Up to £50,000 per annum

• A competitive base salary of £38,625 with on‑target earnings up to £50,000.
