Support Worker – Children’s Homes & Supported Accommodation

Eliali MPC Ltd is an ambitious and values-led provider of Children’s Residential Care and Supported Accommodation for young people.

We are currently recruiting Support Workers to join our expanding team across both our Children’s Homes and Supported Accommodation services in Watford.

• One Ofsted-rated Good Children’s Home.
• A second Children’s Home opening soon as part of our continued expansion.

Our Supported Accommodation service has recently achieved Ofsted’s highest judgement of “Strong”, recognising the positive experiences and progress of the young people we support.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for compassionate, resilient and motivated individuals who want to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people.

We recruit across both our Children’s Homes and Supported Accommodation services.

Following application and interview, successful candidates will be assessed against the needs of each service and placed into the setting that best matches their experience, strengths and skill set.

This allows us to ensure every member of staff is positioned where they can have the greatest impact whilst also supporting their own professional development.

As a Support Worker you will provide high-quality, relationship-based support to children and young people, helping them to develop independence, confidence and life skills whilst promoting their safety, wellbeing and aspirations.

You will become a consistent, positive role model who helps young people overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes.

• Building positive and professional relationships with young people.
• Supporting young people with daily living skills and routines.
• Promoting education, employment and independence.
• Encouraging participation in activities, hobbies and the local community.
• Completing high-quality daily recordings, key-work sessions and care documentation.
• Supporting young people to manage risk safely using trauma-informed approaches.
• Working alongside social workers, families, education providers and other professionals.
• Safeguarding children and young people at all times.
• Maintaining professional boundaries and acting as a positive role model.
• Participating in team meetings, supervision and ongoing training.

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills.
• Committed to safeguarding and delivering outstanding care.
• Reflective, adaptable and willing to learn.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work a mixture of day shifts, waking night shifts and sleep-in duties where required.
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Children & Young People or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
• Previous experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable adults.
• Experience working within Children’s Residential Care or Supported Accommodation.
