Senior Python Software Engineer

Well, it's not just about maintaining legacy code and fixing technical debt. You'll be joining a scaling tech business operating in the IoT space, where the tech challenges are complex and rewarding, spanning real-time data processing, scalability, reliability, and cloud-native architectures. The team is currently building a next-generation platform and is looking for an experienced Python engineer to be part of that journey.

You’ll help build a modern, cloud-native platform based around high-performance microservices and event-driven architectures
, including:

• Designing and developing scalable Python applications and services
• Building high-performance APIs and microservices
• Working with event-driven systems and real-time data processing
• Contributing to architectural decisions and technical direction
• Mentoring and supporting less experienced developers

• Proven experience with async Python (asyncio, async/await)
• Experience building applications using frameworks such as:
  FastAPI, Django etc
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience developing cloud-based applications (Azure preferred)
• A passion for writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code

• Stage 1: Video interview (approx. 30 mins)
• Stage 2: F2F interview, including a Python-based technical exercise (approx. 1.5 hrs)
