Location:
Watford, WD25
Hours:
Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 5:00pm
Alternate Saturdays – 7:00am to 4:00pm (49.25 hours per week)
Salary: £32,000 - £33,000
About the Role:
This family owned builders merchant are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to join their team in Watford. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be picking and packing orders, helping customers with collections, receiving deliveries, and keeping the warehouse organised. You’ll work as part of a friendly team to make sure customers receive the right products on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately pick and pack products according to customer orders and delivery schedules.
* Check product codes, quantities, and quality to ensure all items match order specifications before dispatch.
* Organise and maintain stock areas, ensuring products are stored safely and efficiently.
* Liaise with customers to confirm orders, provide product information, and ensure a smooth and professional collection or delivery experience.
* Use warehouse systems or handheld scanners to record stock movements and update inventory levels.
* Assist with goods-in duties, including unloading deliveries, inspecting items, and restocking shelves.
* Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items promptly to supervisors or inventory control staff.
* Follow all health, safety, and manual handling procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
* Product knowledge in both bathroom and plumbing parts (desirable)
* Outgoing, personable attitude, with the ability to engage with customers of all levels
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate across departments
* Physical capability to lift and move heavy packages as needed
