Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Advisor will provide practical, commercially focused HR support across the full employee lifecycle. Working closely with line managers, the role will cover employee relations, absence, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, engagement and HR policy. You'll be a confident HR generalist with strong ER experience, able to manage cases from initial advice through to conclusion, produce accurate documentation and coach managers on applying policies consistently and fairly.

Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week Salary: £30,000 to £34,000 HR Advisor
- Contract Responsibilities:
Provide practical and legally compliant HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle. Manage and support employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, probation, performance and conduct matters. Coach managers through HR processes, attend formal meetings and ensure accurate documentation, notes and case records are maintained. Support recruitment, onboarding and induction, including candidate communication, documentation and right-to-work checks.
Maintain accurate HR systems and employee records, monitor absence and performance activity, and produce HR reports and management information. Support HR policies, organisational change and HR projects, including TUPE, consultations and continuous improvement initiatives. HR Advisor

Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in an HR generalist or advisory role, supporting managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle. Strong employee relations experience, including absence, disciplinary, grievance, probation, capability, conduct and performance matters. Good working knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies and fair processes, with the ability to identify and manage risk. Confident advising, coaching and challenging managers, including supporting difficult conversations and sensitive employee matters.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with experience producing accurate HR correspondence, case documentation, meeting notes and confidential records. Professional, approachable and discreet, with strong attention to detail, sound judgement and problem-solving skills. Proactive, resilient and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy, fast-paced environment and contribute to HR projects and process improvements. CIPD Level 5 or working towards is desirable, alongside experience of organisational change/TUPE, HR reporting, multi-site environments and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
