Our client, a national engineering organisation based near Rotherham, is now looking to recruit an ambitious and people focussed General Manager to join their growing team!

• Lead and manage multiple engineering departments, setting clear objectives and performance standards to ensure project success.
• Develop strategic plans for engineering operations, including resource allocation, project timelines, and budget management.
• Supervise engineering managers and technical teams, providing mentorship and fostering leadership development.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of engineering systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product or service quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product development, manufacturing, and supply chain to align engineering efforts with organizational priorities.
• Ensure all engineering activities adhere to legal regulations, industry best practices, and organizational policies.

• Proven supervising experience in an engineering leadership role with a track record of managing diverse teams effectively.
• Strong management skills with the ability to develop strategies, set priorities, and execute plans efficiently.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities that inspire innovation, accountability, and team cohesion.
• Bachelor’s degree or Higher Education qualification in Engineering or a related technical field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels and presenting complex technical information clearly.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
