TEAM LEADER CNC MILLER PROGRAMMER
Questech is recruiting an experienced CNC Miller to work for a client located near Rotherham / Barnsley.
Responsibilities- Team Leader
- Pro‑actively drive shift performance to meet the defined plan, ensuring completion on time and to the correct standard.
- Identify and apply best‑practice methods for work holding, tight‑tolerance machining and tooling.
- Collaborate with Engineering to deliver manufacturing cost and time savings.
- Liaise with the Operations Manager regarding machine breakdowns and repairs.
- Conduct quality investigations and reviews to determine the true root cause of defects.
- Program, set up and operate CNC machining centres with HURCO and FANUC control on medium to high‑volume batch work.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a high‑precision manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
Days and evenings rotating weekly.
- Mon‑Fri: 6 am – 2 pm (40 hours)
- Mon‑Thu: 2 pm – 12 am (40 hours)
- Hourly rate: £20–£22 per hour, depending on experience.
- Overtime paid at 1.5× (basic + bonus).
- 6% bonus eligible after probation.
