Payroll Accountant II

* Prepare various reports and analysis as needed to support Payroll and Benefits.
* Prepare, review, and/or post journal entries for accurate recordkeeping.
* Prepare general ledger account analysis and reconciliation of benefits related general ledger accounts for accurate recordkeeping.
* Prepare monthly trust reconciliation for retirement plans in order to ensure accuracy of third party vendor reporting.
* Participate in preparation of retirement plan financial reports to ensure complete reporting.
* Participate in review of retirement plan annual tax returns to ensure accuracy of reporting.
* Prepare and maintain benefit accounting records for efficient access to information.
* Examine, review and interpret benefit accounting records to ensure accuracy.
* Perform special projects and additional assignments as directed to assist department management.
* Participate in cross training efforts in order to grow with the Payroll department.
* Intermediate computer spreadsheet skills
