Schedule: 36 hours/week

Under the direction of the Unit Director, Nursing Supervisor, and/or Charge Nurse, the Staff Nurse II (L&D) is responsible for providing safe, high-quality nursing care to patients and families throughout the childbirth process. This role encompasses patient assessment, labor support, delivery assistance, and postpartum care—ensuring the best outcomes for mothers and babies.

You’ll also have opportunities to mentor new staff, precept nursing students, and serve as a Relief Charge Nurse when assigned.

• Must meet requirements set by the California Board of Registered Nursing

• Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience in an acute care hospital
• Must complete hospital- and department-specific competencies within 3 months of hire

• Active California RN License (required)
• BLS (AHA) – required
• ACLS (AHA) – required prior to completion of orientation
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required
• AFM (Advanced Fetal Monitoring) – required

• Basic keyboarding skills and willingness to learn hospital computer systems within six months
• Fluent in English;
  Spanish language skills preferred
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
