Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team in Watsonville, CA, for Powder Metallurgy Alloying using a rotary ball mill. This is an entry‑level, part‑time role with training provided and the opportunity to grow into a career as production scales.
Responsibilities- Operate basic chemistry lab equipment and a rotary ball mill (training provided).
- Conduct micro powder metal alloying to produce a specific alloy.
- Keep detailed lab notes for process tracking and improvement.
- Communicate with the equipment manufacturer for troubleshooting and optimization.
- Report progress to the project team.
- Familiarity with basic lab equipment (e.g., beakers, scales, pipettes).
- Willingness to learn and operate a rotary ball mill (no prior experience required).
- Reliable transportation to Watsonville, CA.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication for team and manufacturer coordination.
- Current undergraduate/graduate student in chemistry (or related field) or a freelancer with basic lab experience.
- Must be willing to sign a non‑disclosure agreement (NDA) for confidentiality.
- Interest in materials science or metallurgy.
