After School Math Instructor

Qualifications:

• Passion for math and helping others
• Ability to work on a team
• Eagerness to learn
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
• Available a minimum of 8 hours per week
• 16 years or older (15 years old allowed with work permit)

  This is not a summer only position. All applicants must be available during the school year as well)

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach/tutor in-center using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices as learned during training
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ understanding and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with various daily processes
