Job SummaryThe Physical Therapist works under the general direction of the Facility Manager, providing superior outpatient rehabilitation services through a collaborative care model with physicians to optimize performance and enhance patient function.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care
- Interpret physician orders, perform initial evaluations, establish treatment plans and functional goals
- Update treatment goals as needed during the episode of care
- Document patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines
- Determine appropriate discharge timeline and follow‑up
- Supervise Rehabilitation Technicians and administrative staff as required
- Maintain accurate daily paperwork (initial evaluations, progress notes, discharges, HEP, etc.)
- Stay current with billing policies and practice ethical billing
- Maintain active state license by earning CEUs through external courses and IBJI‑sponsored education
- Develop positive relationships with physician teams
- Participate in office visits with physicians, case‑manager contact, and other patient‑medical team activities
- Engage in IBJI‑sponsored programs such as mentoring, clinical educator roles, special interest groups, and community outreach
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- New graduate PTs eligible to apply
- Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in Illinois
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Can lift greater than 25 pounds
- Understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing
- Can stand and sit for sequences greater than 30 minutes
- Can work on a computer for lengthy times during the day
$80,000 – $100,000 depending on experience
