Established building supply distributor needs a hands‑on Sales Manager to grow sales and market share in territory.

Location:

Wauconda, IL (on site plus regional field work).

Pay range: $80,000.00/yr – $/yr (first year $80k-$120k plus full benefits and expenses).

• Evaluate market trends and customer needs to determine which products have the highest potential for success and profitability.
• Create a comprehensive marketing and outreach system to build brand recognition and drive awareness for the chosen product.
• As sales grow, recruit, train, and manage sales team. Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for sales team to ensure they’re equipped with product knowledge, sales techniques, and market trends.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to facilitate the movement of their products, creating mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Assess sales performance with data analytics to track metrics on revenue, conversion rates, and customer acquisition. Use data insights to identify trends, optimize sales strategies, and improve team performance. Provide reporting to upper management to support decision‑making.
• Track & evaluate KPIs such as sales volume, lead conversion rates, customer retention, average deal size, sales cycle length. Use metrics to assess effectiveness of sales team, adjust strategies, ensure performance targets are being met.
