JOB DESCRIPTIONAs an Assistant Manager you will be responsible for everything that happens during your shift. This includes cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations. You will set the example and enforce ALL policies and procedures 100% of the time, expecting the same from your crew.

QUALIFICATIONS- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, walk‑in cooler, and work area.
- Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Orientation and training provided on the job.
- Communication skills: written instructions, verbal interaction with customers and co‑workers.
- Perform accurate arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division); may use a calculator.
- Provide correct monetary change.
- Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for precise, rapid movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F to 90°F+.
Sudden temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts may occur.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Standing, walking short distances, and brief periods; surface heights 36‑48″.
- Sitting for paperwork in an office setting.
- Lifting: bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lbs) unloaded by hand truck; case stacking up to 72 high.
- Carrying: large cans (3 lb, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lb), trays of dough (3 at a time, ~12 lb each).
- Pushing/Pulling trays on dollies; pushing force up to 7.5 lb.
- Climbing stairs or ladders for maintenance tasks.
Forward bending, crouching, squatting, reaching, hand tasks, and use of tools are continuous throughout the day. Workers must manipulate pizza peel and rolling cutter, and perform frequent and forceful pinching in assembling cardboard boxes. Coordination and grasping of cans, phones, pizza cutter, and pizza peel are required.
DRIVING SPECIFIC DUTIES- Deliver product by car to customer door.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the delivery area.
- Navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings and private homes while carrying products.
- Carry pizzas and beverages while walking, climbing, and driving.
- Deliver within a designated area, often making multiple deliveries per shift.
- Travel between store, vehicle, and customer location; climb five or more flights of stairs if required.
- Driving in varying weather; night vision and far vision for safe drops.
