Payroll Accountant

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Accountant to manage all aspects of payroll processing for their operations in Paarl . This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages, as well as compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and tax regulations. You will be responsible for payroll reconciliation, statutory submissions, and providing support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.

• Process the full payroll cycle accurately and timeously for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with all South African payroll legislation, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments.
• Manage employee data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment conditions.
• Prepare and submit statutory payroll reports to SARS and other relevant authorities.
• Liaise with HR and finance departments on payroll-related matters and employee queries.

• Relevant qualification in Accounting or Payroll Management.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in payroll accounting and administration.
• In-depth knowledge of South African payroll legislation and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., VIP, Sage) and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
