Construction Site Manager

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Site Manager to lead on-site operations for diverse construction projects in and around Paarl, Western Cape . This critical role ensures the efficient, safe, and high-quality execution of all construction activities. The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing on-site teams, managing subcontractors, coordinating logistics, and maintaining strict adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety standards.

This is a full-time, on-site position requiring a strong leadership presence and excellent practical construction knowledge. • Manage all day-to-day on-site construction activities and personnel.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contracts and schedules.
• Oversee the implementation of project plans, ensuring work progresses according to design specifications.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the construction process.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage the site logistics, including material delivery, storage, and equipment utilization.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety meetings (toolbox talks).
• Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, architects, and clients regarding site progress and issues.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, incident logs, and personnel attendance.

• Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager, Foreman, or similar supervisory role.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and building codes.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices within the construction industry.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective stakeholder interaction.
• Proficiency in managing on-site resources and resolving practical construction challenges.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding project deadlines.
• Must be physically capable of performing site inspections and work in various weather conditions.
• Experience with construction projects in the Western Cape , particularly around Paarl , is an advantage.
