Project Chemical Engineer

Our client is looking for a results-oriented Project Chemical Engineer to manage and execute chemical engineering projects in Paarl . This hybrid role requires a blend of on-site project oversight and remote coordination, ensuring successful project delivery from conception to completion. You will be responsible for defining project scope, managing budgets and timelines, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.

• Lead the planning, execution, and close-out of chemical engineering projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and contingency planning.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement, and construction teams throughout project lifecycle.
• Manage external contractors and suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services and equipment.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
• Prepare regular project status reports for senior management.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or project management, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
