Telecom Network Planner

Our client is seeking a strategic and analytical Telecom Network Planner to join their team in Paarl . This role is critical for the long-term vision and development of our client's telecommunications network. You will be responsible for forecasting future capacity needs, designing network expansion strategies, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery. This position requires a deep understanding of network technologies, traffic patterns, and market trends to shape the future infrastructure.

• Develop short-term and long-term network expansion plans based on traffic forecasts, service demand, and technology evolution.
• Conduct capacity planning and resource allocation analysis for all network elements, including transmission, core, and access layers.
• Evaluate new technologies and propose their integration into the network roadmap to enhance service capabilities and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to align network plans with business objectives and budget constraints.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on network evolution strategies, including cost-benefit analyses.
• Identify potential network bottlenecks and develop strategies to mitigate them proactively.

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications network planning or design.
• In-depth knowledge of network architecture, transmission technologies, IP networking, and mobile communication systems (e.g., 4G, 5G).
• Proficiency in network planning tools and simulation software is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, modeling, and forecasting skills.
