Site Engineer

Our client is seeking a diligent and technically proficient Site Engineer to join their expanding operations in Paarl . You will be responsible for ensuring the technical viability of projects, overseeing the execution of engineering and construction activities on-site, and ensuring quality control. This role involves interpreting blueprints, managing site resources, and coordinating with the project management team to achieve project objectives safely and efficiently.

You will be instrumental in the successful implementation of construction plans and the maintenance of high engineering standards.

• Provide technical guidance and engineering support to the construction team on-site.
• Interpret engineering drawings , specifications, and method statements to ensure accurate construction.
• Monitor and control the quality of workmanship and materials used on site.
• Manage site logistics, including plant, equipment, and materials, ensuring efficient deployment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with the Project Manager and other stakeholders regarding site progress and technical queries.

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and geotechnical principles .
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering plans and technical documents.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
