Our client is seeking a proficient Civil Engineer specializing in Structural Design and Analysis to join their team in Paarl . You will be responsible for the detailed design of structural elements for various building and infrastructure projects, ensuring their stability, safety, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This role requires a deep understanding of materials science, structural mechanics, and advanced modeling techniques.
You will collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to create robust and efficient structural solutions. - Perform structural calculations and analysis for building frameworks, bridges, and other civil structures.
- Develop detailed structural drawings, construction plans, and technical specifications.
- Ensure designs meet or exceed all applicable building codes, standards, and safety regulations .
- Collaborate effectively with architects, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers to integrate structural designs.
- Conduct site inspections to verify construction against design specifications and address any structural issues.
- Utilize advanced structural analysis software to model and simulate structural behavior under various load conditions.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Structures.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in structural design and analysis.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP
2000, ETABS, SAFE, or similar. - Thorough knowledge of concrete, steel, and timber structural design principles.
